Seeing the Small Things

The NCC, or Nanomaterials Core Characterization Facilty, is a research facility at VCU that provides numerous pieces of equipment for researchers to utilize. The original site was developed in a pure open text environment, requiring the use of manual FTP uploads for updates. The site was redesigned and developed in TerminalFour for both ease of management and to update the design to meet modern accessibility and responsive design standards. The site had to be rebuilt from the foundation, as all the element styles were built in-line and did not use a cascading style sheet for ease of management and design updates.

The site provides a large amount of technical information regarding the equipment available and the usage of that equipment. It is also updated on a regular basis to provide the newest information about equipment status and availability.
