Restructure and Reimagine
Indiana Wesleyan University was a comprehensive project that involved a full conversion of the previous site to a new design and CMS. This involved mapping the existing content into new templates and understanding the information architecture of their site. As with most university sites, there was a massive amount of content to transition over and recreate. This involved
understanding the proper image and file size optimizations.
The site was completely restructured to follow a logical and tracked user experience. Understanding the user experience and how users arrived to the information they were seeking was very important and involved user testing from both a front end (current and potential audiences) and back-end (content manager) perspective.
My role in this project was managing the massive content migration portion, which included hundreds of pages. Using both automated processes and manual quality assurance, we were able to successfully move over all their pages to the appropriate sections and categories.
