Hackathons at the School of Engineering is a recent development, with multiple events occurring throughout the year. With the explosion of these events, a web presence was required. This web presence would need to be able to register interested individuals across a wide spectrum of audiences, along with generating interest with potential sponsors and providing details of the events themselves.

The websites have to meet the requirements of MLH (Major League Hacking) which oversees and provides support for hackathons at universities and institutions across the world.

To meet these needs and to cut down on the design and development time needed for theses sites, a template was created in TerminalFour that can easily be reused and modified to provide distinct content layouts for each event. Pages have to contain basic information about attendance, registration, schedules, sponsors, and regulations. Each site has had customized color themes applied to best fit the supporting department and atmosphere of each hackathon.
